One word of advice: don’t order a drink while waiting at the bar for your table — a gin & tonic is $10 and you won’t need it after sitting down for the restaurant’s famous “wine dinner.” This French steakhouse is one of the few places that actually encourages, nay insists, that its patrons leave the place sloshed. The wine dinner includes four glasses of wine with your dinner (1 champagne, 1 white & 2 reds) to be refilled at any point during your dinner, and refilled, and refilled . . . This dinner is also prix fixed, so you’ll have no worries when you hit your seventh or eighth glass. Go early, go often, and don’t forget your credit card, because you probably don’t have enough cash in your bank account to go anyway. [MF]
