There is something particularly attractive about margaritas, and Mexican cuisine in general. This is the principal on which this newish UES Mexican upstart bases its flavor: offer extremely powerful frozen margaritas at inflated prices (once the happy hour ends at 7PM sharp!), open the front windows and let the yuppies pour in. The summer will bring hoards to this conveniently located (along the scary 2nd Ave. post-college corridor) and reasonably fun joint. Like most of the Mexican places in this survey, nobody bothered trying the food, but we’re sure it’s just OK. By the way, the frozen margaritas are straight out of the Slurpee machine and kind of taste like a combination between a urinal puck (so we were told) and a saccharin enhanced Mountain Dew, but boy do they pack a punch.
