Odd Finds: The Inappropriate Logo

Everything changed September 11th, 2001. The country and the world will never be the same. Apparently this asshole slept through the whole thing:

I received a wonderful advertisement for AC Video Services in November, 2002 in one of those giant packs of coupons that are always jamming up my mail slot. Does the man live in a goddamn bubble? Does he know that the two towers that make up his stupid logo are no longer standing? I’m only assuming that the owner of this establishment made a conscious decision to keep this logo. I mean, it’s not as if he couldn’t have paid some poor schmuck another $25 to conjure up another piss-poor representation for his company.

And if his judgment isn’t poor enough for using the World Trade Center as his logo, he adds this tag line:

I cringe every time I look at it. “Recapture old and forgotten memories” next to a picture of the twin towers? Egads! What the hell could this guy be thinking? It’s just odd to me that someone somewhere thought it would be a good idea to keep this advertisement in play.

I think I’m going to start a company and use a big burning Hindenburg as my logo, or maybe a big likeness of the Titanic or a can of Cyclon B. Sometimes I just don’t get people.
