They’re like the rockin’, Scottish version of Architecture In Helsinki. You know, so adorable you just want to hug and slap them for being so damn pop-like. I’m sure this cutesy music is meant for sixteen year old girls (cool sixteen year old girls), but I’ll put aside my jock for a minute to absorb the twee bounce of the xylophone and boy/girl vocals that make this ep absolutely irresistible. The fact they do a cover of Pavement’s “Frontwards,” one of the best songs of all time, just adds to my respect for a band I have no right liking, but will carry on carrying on as if my delicate virtue depended on it.
