Black Francis is such a freak! No but really, listen to the first song on this EP, “The Seus,” with its bizarro sing/rap/talk thing and you just know you’re in for a fun ride straight from the mind that brought you years of good Pixies fun. This doesn’t sound much at all like his Frank Black solo stuff, but really does sound more like mid-career Pixies. Perhaps the reunion tour reinvigorated his punkness.
