Do you like your music catchy and you accents super-ridiculously ridiculous? So poppy it’s almost jokey, the album doesn’t quite cross the line into kitsch, but it’s a close call. To that end, The Capes pull of an album filled with head-bobbing Brit rock that fits right in there with The Futureheads, Maximo Park and The Rakes. It’s certainly not going to win any artistic awards, but for toe-tapping, non-threatening retro-pop, it’s certainly an impressive swipe at a first try.
