Apparently this is a French restaurant. We stumbled in for drinks, and were treated to a small, brick space with friendly staff and an unusual tolerance for loud patrons. One reason we had to believe that this was a bar and not a restaurant (aside from the fact nobody was eating at 1 AM) is that every customer in the place was blowing smoke rings out of his/her nose. Since when do restaurants allow smoking? Oh those silly French! We can say that the space is very pleasant and casual, the drinks strong, and the bartender attractive. We have no idea about the food, but rumor has it that it’s decent and not all that pricey for snobby European fare. [MF]
