Cuisine: Barbecue
Crap, I guess I’m a little (a lot) behind in my reviews. This place is already closed–as you can see in this picture. Not a surprise, really, as it’s like the only Dallas BBQ that wasn’t absolutely packed at 7:30 at night. It was also an odd, sprawling space with weird desert murals and servers that looked lost in the dim lighting. I do love Dallas BBQ, but this one deserved the scrapheap more than not.
[EDIT: Okay, I literally thought this place was closed for the past 25 years, but apparently it was just closed for renovations or something when I went by in like 2004 or so to take this photo above. You can see that it’s closed — I’m not a psycho — so I have no idea what’s going on. The Internet is no help, either, as there is no original or different Times Square location listed other than the one where it currently sits. Perhaps it’s some Mandela effect that I manifested. Perhaps it’s some sort of ghost ship thing. Either way, I’m confused and alarmed, but my original review holds true: this Times Square location is a nightmare and you should avoid it at all costs. Especially if it’s just a figment of my imagination. But I don’t think it is, so I’m going to say this existed because I was there and I know it.]
